My stories have appeared in The O. Henry Prize Stories, the Kenyon Review (as winner of their Short Fiction Contest), ZYZZYVA, Alaska Quarterly Review, Crazyhorse, New Orleans Review, Hobart, McSweeney’s Internet Tendency, The Normal School, Day One, and Saltgrass. Two of my stories have been read on Symphony Space’s Selected Shorts. I have an M.F.A. from Columbia University, where I also taught a fiction workshop. I’ve received a scholarship from the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, a fellowship from The Lighthouse Works, and a residency from PLAYA.
I live in Santa Clara, California with my husband, daughter, and two small, noisy mutts.
